Stir In Cornmeal. Add Egg And Buttermilk And Beat Just Until Smooth. Pour 1/4 Cup Batter For Each Cake Onto A Lightly Greased, Hot Griddle. Bake Until Golden Brown On Both Sides. Serve Hot.
